Lima, Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes, Cuzco
Peru’s busiest cities and most stunning ancient ruins are yours to explore on this service adventure. High in the mountains you’ll discover what remains of Machu Picchu and Ollantaytambo, and unearth a treasure of preserved Colombian art in local artist Pablo Seminario’s ceramic workshop. Once you’ve become immersed in Peru’s unique cultural history, you’ll spend three days dedicated to meaningful service work in a local community outside of Cuzco.
Day 1: Fly to Peru
Meet your group and board your flight to Lima.
Arrive in Lima

Day 2: Cuzco + Sacred Valley of the Incas
Fly to Cuzco, the unofficial capital of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Then transfer to the Sacred Valley. 
  • Tour the home and studio of famed ceramicist, Pablo Seminario, and watch a live pottery demonstration.

Day 3: Machu Picchu
Travel by train to Aquas Calientes. 
  • Explore the ancient Inca site of Machu Picchu with your local guide.
  • Take an afternoon hike to the Sun Gate or explore the site in groups.

Day 4: Machu Picchu + Cuzco
 
Travel by train to Ollantaytambo then continue by bus to Pisac, the gateway to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. 
  • Visit the famous Pisac Market known for its local crafts.

Day 5: Cuzco
Travel to a local community
  • Enjoy a walking tour of the city and a local market.
  • Visit the village where your service project will take place and participate in a program orientation and welcome.

 Days 6-8: Service Project — Cuzco

Spend the morning and afternoon working on a service project in the community you’re visiting
 
Day 9: Cuzco + Lima 
Return to Lima on a morning flight and explore Lima.
Depart for home
