financing your program

In addition to discounts and payment plans, EF College Study Tours supports students with financial aid, scholarships and fundraising to make the transformative experience of travel affordable.

Financial aid
Many students that travel for credit are able to apply the financial aid they’ve secured through their college or university to part or all of the program cost. Once eligibility is determined through the traveler’s college or university, College Study Tours can work with the traveler to make sure the funds are applied. Ask your Program Coordinator for more details.

TripFunder
TripFunder is EF's fundraising tool that makes it easy for travelers to raise funds for their program. The online donation page is easy to share with others and allows those who donate to make secure online contributions that are applied directly to the program balance. Travelers can find this tool on the “Your donation page” tab in their personal website.

Beyond the Classroom Scholarship
This year, EF College Study Tours is awarding $10,000 worth of scholarships to select students so they can enjoy meaningful global experiences—and your lessons can come to life. Learn more about this opportunity here and ask your Program Coordinator for details on how to apply.

Additional scholarship and fundraising ideas
We keep an updated list of scholarship and fundraising ideas to support students with ways to raise funds for their study abroad experience. Ask your Program Coordinator for more information about these opportunities or check out some fundraising ideas below.

  • Bake sale or dinner fundraiser: Buy or make food and sell it on campus or in a local community space. Host the event during lunch or dinner in order to catch a hungry crowd, and be sure to message it on social media and to friends and family.
  • Partner with a local restaurant: Ask for food donations or offer to sell the food at a local event. A predetermined percentage of the proceeds and tips will be earned by the travelers that participate.
  • Use your strengths: Identify and use your skills, like painting, creating music, tutoring and more. Ask for donations or charge a fee for your time to start saving for your study abroad program.
