It’s no secret that the list of history’s greatest playwrights and plays runs through London. Discover Shakespeare’s childhood home and the reconstructed Globe Theatre. Theater in London is a must, but you’ll also see a performance in the Bard of Avon’s birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon. In England, it seems, there’s a story everywhere—and now you can write your own.
  • Day 1: Fly overnight to England

    Meet your Tour Director at the airport

    Take a walking tour of London

    With your Tour Director you will see:

    • The Strand, London's major thoroughfare
    • Trafalgar Square, a bustling central square
    • Leicester Square, a square lined with theaters and other events
    • Covent Garden, a vibrant and charming shopping area

    Enjoy a fish and chips dinner in London

  • Day 3: London

    Take a guided tour of London

    With your expert local guide you will see: 

    • Big Ben, an iconic London bell at the Palace of Westminster
    • Houses of Parliament, home to England's governing body
    • Piccadilly Circus, a five-way intersection 
    • St. Paul’s Cathedral, a domed church which has hosted many royal events
    • Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (if scheduled)

    Take a guided tour of the Victoria and Albert Museum and discover how craftspeople of the theater gain creative inspiration for theatrical spaces

  • Day 4: London

    Tour the Globe Theater with an expert local guide and be transported back to Elizabethan England when rowdy crowds heckled villains like Othello’s Iago

    Tour Stratford-upon-Avon with an expert local guide

    Visit the half-timbered house where Shakespeare was born and visit Anne Hathaway's cottage, a picturesque farmhouse where the Bard’s wife spent her childhood

    Enjoy dinner in Stratford-upon-Avon

    Attend an evening theater performance

    Travel via Oxford, home of the oldest university in the English-speaking world, to London 

    Visit Blenheim Palace and gardens, one of England’s largest houses that holds the unique title of family home, a mausoleum, and national monument and sits among a classic English garden

    Enjoy afternoon tea at Blenheim Palace and do as the royals do as you enjoy tea, finger sandwiches and homemade scones

  • Day 9: Depart for home
