Dominican experienceWe loved the variety of experiences so we could learn about the culture, typical experiences, and way of life first hand. Everyone we met was so kind, warm, and inviting. Thee was something for everyone and different focuses of our students. The trip exceeded my expectations.
Service Learning ExperienceThe opportunities provided by EF during this service learning trip abroad were relevant, goal-oriented, exciting and rich!
good learning experience for the students.....HOWEVER, the itinerary changed at the last minute with no explanation. The alternative was somewhat 'similar' but the true 'service learning' component was omitted. This was indeed a serious disappointment after 6 months of planning & organizing with the students which included a new 3-credit course and a 2-credit public health practicum designed to support the original itinerary which had remained unchanged for more than 6 months. As a result, the 'learning outcomes' the students and I agreed to for the trip were not entirely achieved. My professional discipline and the focus of the courses and itinerary is Public/Population Health which does not appear on the list of academic departments below.Christian, President

Fabulous Experience!Our Nursing in the Dominican Republic tour totally exceeded all expectations I had for this experience! The students remained at the highest level of engagement I had ever seen the entire trip! Each evening during reflections the first words out of their mouths were "Best Day Ever!" Our Tour Director was constantly working to make sure we had the greatest experiences possible. Can't wait to go back again!
