Next, travel back in time while strolling down Québec City’s Rue Petit-Champlain and stopping at Le Chateau Frontenac, in one of North America’s oldest urban hubs. Engage with local community members as you learn more about la belle province and its unique cultural heritage, culminating with an evening at a traditional Cabane au Sucre.

    Take a guided tour of Montréal 

    With your expert local guide, you will see:

    • Mount Royal Park, one of the city's largest greenspaces
    • Quartier Latin, a vibrant student neighborhood
    • Sainte-Catherine Street, a main commercial street
    • Jacques-Cartier Square, a square located at the entrance to the Old Port
    • Old Port, a historic port with activities and attractions

    Spend time exploring Little Italy's Jean-Talon Market, one of the city's oldest public markets, on your own

    Take a campus tour of McGill University, an impressive university that ranks in the top 50 universities in the world and among the top three universities in Canada

    Celebrate the life and work of Joseph-Armand Bombardier at the interactive Bombardier Museum and participate in a workshop

    • Streets of the Old City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
    • Petit Champlain Street, a quaint but bustling commercial district
    • Château Frontenac, a hotel built to look like a castle from France's Loire Valley
    • Dufferin Terrace, situated alongside the St. Lawrence River and often filled with performers and vendors

    Tour a fromagerie, or cheese factory, and see how poutine cheese curds are made 

    Spend the afternoon exploring Québec City on your own

  • Day 5: Québec City

    Learn about the culture and traditional way of life from the Huron-Wendat Nation, and learn how Canada has fostered a sustained relationship with local First Nations and indigenous communities

    Enjoy dinner at a Canadian cabane à sucre, where you’ll learn how maple syrup is harvested from maple trees and made into a variety of products
