Barcelona,France,Italy AdventureOutstanding trip! Well planned and executed to get the best experience possible. Our Tour Director went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure everyone was happy and taken care of - 3 cheers to EF - best group tour I've ever been on. :)
Great first time abroad! This was an excellent way to travel abroad for the first time. Everything was well planned out and I did not have to worry about anything except for showing up when and where they told me to go. I was given plenty of resources and opportunities to learn. It was very fast paced and now I know where I'd like to go back and spend some more time. I am very happy with our guide and all of thing things EF provided for us!
Great Experince/Value!This was a wonderful tour! Our guide Antonio was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful!
Bonjourno, wakey, wakey!!!!The overall experience to Barcelona, Southern France and Italy was wonderful. The students that participated, as well as the other faculty and staff really enjoyed the experience. However, the faculty and staff wish that these type of tours could be integrated with more educational/service learning opportunities. The reason we feel this way is because yes it is always an educational experience for students to not only learn the history of different nations and connect this to the things they have learned in the classroom, but also it is an educational experience on how to navigate a foreign country with various challenges and barriers. However, students and faculty involved often treat the experience as a vacation vs. a true study abroad experience. The students were held accountable to complete a final written paper and a 30 second commercial utilizing their photos and what they gained from the mini study abroad experience, but they spent much of their free time partying, and much of the day time was also used for touring sites, where I would have enjoyed experiences within Universities or Schools to help them connect to actual study abroad experiences working or taking courses.
I enjoyed all of the countries visited, but I will also say that we probably would have been able to digest more from each of the countries if the experience only focused on two countries in the 10 days. Four counties was a lot, but we often seemed to have free time and were searching for things to do. I think the hardest portion was the travel from one country to the next, which made the trip extremely exhausting.
I believe that some of the hotel choices also could have been improved. Overall, I believe the ultimate goal for the program was achieved that it provided students with an opportunity to view different perspectives of worlds completely different from their own, and it ignited in the students a sense of future travel abroad including longer semester travel abroad experiences.
FantasticAntonio was FABULOUS, the sites were all great even with the drizzling/raining weather. The only place I was not so impressed with was the bus ride to the airport at 2am. Travel arrangements/schedules could be much better. Antonio went out of his way to make sure EVERY person on the tour was accommodated and had a good time. The market in NICE was wonderful. Antonio made sure we saw the town of Pisa not just the church/bell tower. So glad he did, the people are just great!
