On a Service Learning program, you and your students work side by side with locals on community-driven projects in the Dominican Republic and Peru. We partner with established non-profits and NGOs—like the Mariposa Foundation and Project for Life—to make sure your contributions are both meaningful and sustainable. Through hands-on work and deep exposure to the local culture, students learn vital collaboration and problem-solving skills. And, they return home inspired to make a difference.
What to expect on a Service Learning program
Each service project helps deepen your students’ understanding of other cultures, develop new perspectives on local issues and strengthen leadership skills necessary for true global citizenship, through:
Working side by side with locals, you’ll gain insight into the challenges they face and build lasting solutions to help empower the community.
Live in the communities you serve—celebrating indigenous customs and forming lasting connections with locals.
Your Field Director takes your service experience even further, strengthening leadership skills through activities and workshops.
