Study Abroad with Lamar University
Lamar University has study abroad opportunities for every qualified student, and has partnered with EF College Study to develop short-term study abroad programs. Travel the world and earn credit while you do it in these destinations. Students that are interested in enrolling should follow the steps below. For Lamar University Students:
- Apply to study abroad through Lamar University first
- Once approved, register for your desired program below
For non-Lamar University Students:
We are thrilled that you are interested in studying abroad on one of our LU faculty-led programs! Here are some next steps:
- You must enroll at Lamar for the 2023 winter mini in order to participate in this program. The program cost does not include the tuition for the course.
- You will pay your tuition for the 3 credit course once enrolled at LU.
- If you are a degree-seeking student at another university—enroll at Lamar University as a transient student.
- If you are not seeking a degree—enroll in Lamar University as a non-degree seeking student.
- Check deadlines for enrollment.
- Next, you will apply for the program through Lamar University's Office of Study Abroad first before applying through EF College Study.
- Once approved to study abroad, you will be prompted to apply to EF College Study by Mary Alice Haas, the Study Abroad and Student Exchange Coordinator.
