Our global leadership team

Christian serves as the President of EF College Study. He has held several leadership roles across EF’s educational travel divisions and now collaborates with higher education institutions to internationalize campuses and scale study abroad programs.

Prior to EF, Christian’s 25 years of professional life crossed multiple industries from travel to online and mobile gaming. A Harvard graduate and father of four, Christian brings his passion for global perspectives to the team to power international experiences that are scalable, accessible and critical to develop tomorrow's leaders.

Dr. Lombardi brings extensive higher education experience to her role as College Study’s senior academic leader. She manages outcomes assessment, partners with faculty on curriculum integration, and develops resources and materials to facilitate in-country learning outcomes.

Previously, she was Director of the Master of Science in Global Studies and International Relations program at Northeastern University and Faculty Scholar at their Center for Advancing Teaching and Learning through Research. She also served as dean of students at Lorenzo de’ Medici International Institute in Florence, Italy.

Based in our Zurich office, Angela is one of our expert Program Experience Managers. She has a hand in arranging every component for programs in the UK and France and ensures each one meets our high standard of quality—so that every program is perfect down to the detail.

Angela holds a Master’s of International Education and French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining EF, she worked as an International Programs Coordinator at Rutgers University, studied abroad in France, the UK, and Iceland, and spent two years teaching English to high school students in Lyon, France.

Jeff brings over 10 years of experience and success in the industry of global experiential learning. In his current role, he establishes longstanding relationships with institutions to understand their institutional goals and ensure seamless support from beginning to end of their partnership with EF College Study.

Jeff started his career at EF as a Program Consultant within EF College Study before assuming a leadership role in both EF College Study and our adult travel division, EF Go Ahead Tours.

As a Zurich-based International Flights Coordinator, Sofia works to find the best flight itineraries as possible for our faculty and travelers. To keep our programs accessible, she leverages our relationships with major airlines to secure affordable flight costs for our groups.

Originally from Uruguay, she moved to Switzerland as an Au Pair to learn German. She brings a passion for study abroad and international travel, crediting her personal, professional, and intellectual growth to her own international experiences.

In his role as Director of Partnership Support, Max leads our in-house Traveler Support Team as the first point of contact for travelers’ needs and questions. His leadership ensures that all EF College Study travelers are prepared to study abroad—from payments to passports to packing—and experience the transformative power of travel.

Prior to joining EF, Max worked as a paraprofessional educator to ensure quality learning experiences for students utilizing an Individualized Education Program (IEP).
